Welcome to the Neuen Regensburger Hütte (2286m)

Neue Regensburger Hütte

The Neue Regensburger Hütte was built in the early 1930’s and was extended during 1967. Flanked by a free flowing waterfall, cascading 100meters  down the mountainside, it’s position above the Falbesoner Ochsenalm plateau offers majestic panoramic views. Adjecent to the scarp is a bathing lake where it is possible to relax and while away the days in the hot Summer months. For those of your who are a little more adventurous, there are hiking pursuits as well as a specially constructed climbing wall that allows a intermediate level of rock climbing.

Should the weather turn for the worse, we are proud to annouce our own self sufficient hydroelectric power station within the hut which supplies warm soothing showers!!

The ``New Regensburger Hut´´ is one of 8 starting points for the Stubaier Höhenweg Path.  Additional worthwhile tours to investigate include the unique

``High Moss´´ glacier moor which is West of the base. Pure natural filtered waters flow down the ``Hochmoosferner Glacier Stream´´.    Sharp inclines surround the South, West and North of the moor rising to an additional 800m, the highest mark being point Ruderhofspitze. Rising in the East on the opposite side of the valley is the mountain „Habicht“.
